Project Details

Santa Clara Pueblo’s new Tribal Courthouse was a much-needed facility with existing conditions not adequate for the Pueblo’s courts system professional needs and requirements. The facility provided the courts with 7,417 square feet of building with more usable space, greater security and a professional setting to conduit everyday court programs and court proceedings. The 2,804 square feet courthouse addition features a modern courtroom with proper viewing angles for all, high windows for natural light without disturbance, holding cells, judge’s chambers with needed amenities and a jury deliberation/conference room for use by a court jury or by court staff.

A remodel of an existing metal building provides the courts with a generous lobby with security accommodations and private offices for all court support services. The exterior remodel and new construction highlight a Puebloan façade, recessed windows, and colors of the southwest landscape.
