White Mountain Apache Travel Center
White Mountain Apache Travel Center
The White Mountain Apache Convenience store will serve the Whiteriver community, as well as tourists and campers in the area. This convenience store represents the future of the town. This will be one of the first of many improvements to the Whiteriver community.
The convenience store has a variety of spaces for cold and hot, self-serve, food as well as 1,000 square feet of rentable space for a food vendor. The main interior space features clerestory windows that let in natural light throughout the day. This reduces the overall energy costs and consumption for artificial lighting. The exterior of the building is a mountain rustic style. This style is popular to this region. This style features gable roofs, heavy timber structures, stone, wood, and metal roofing.
