Project Details

Native American owned company KERES Consulting Inc. acquired an existing office building which had minimal natural light, a simple entry and confined atmosphere throughout the existing office building. The 9,123 square feet building was given an entry renovation with a new defined and protected entry way that brought in more natural light while protecting the new abundant glazing from strong summer sunlight with a modern Puebloan canopy featuring stacked stone, steel tube vigas and a oxidized metal screen with waterjet images of a corn field and perimeter pueblo pottery design. A larger backdoor with a combination floor to ceiling storefront windows and full-lite door to bring in generous morning sunlight into an open breakroom with adjacent gathering space for employees and guests. The interior renovation included more natural light with a new skylight in the open office area, a stacked stone column adjacent the reception desk bringing the exterior materials inside, new entry doors with side-lite windows to existing executive offices for better open feel to small existing corridors and decorative built-in nichos with stone for display of owner’s pottery collection.
