Joel C. McHorse has worked for over 24 years for Native American tribes in both design and construction at every level of project conception and execution.  Most notably for two New Mexico tribes. First, for Pojoaque Pueblo over the span of 20 years, from laborer to construction manager to President of Pojoaque Pueblo Design Services Corporation, culminating in helping to design their casino/hotel while working for Thalden-Boyd-Emery Architects in St. Louis, MO.  Second, for Nambé Pueblo for four years where his first project was to take a set of completed plans for a head start and oversee construction from bidding to certificate of occupancy.  Specialties include schematic/design development, A.I.A. contract development, construction inspections/code enforcement, Contractor/Architect procurement, grant writing, and utility design and acquisition.  Joel C. McHorse is ½ Navajo, ¼ Taos Pueblo, and a ¼ Irish. He is an enrolled member of Taos Pueblo.
